Sub-Floor Construction
This week deliveries from 3 different suppliers came with the rest of the materials for the studio floor. Remember, we can't build directly onto the concrete so there is loads of work to do building in a sub-floor. We're squashed for workspace so we're prioritising the construction of the live room floor first, when that's done we can use that floor for extra workspace. Let's Begin The Build
After quotes, consultancy, research, prep-work, designs, re-designs, revisions of re-designs, and more quotes, we're finally ready to start building! The first order of wood was made last week and we finally got down-and-dirty with the building work. Working the Drains
So all the contractors have been working their quotes and sending them in, as we anticipated we have needed to make drastic changes to the studio designs to make the project work. Firstly, the water drains have been diverted out of the premises, which is good news as it means the risk of flooding has been practically eliminated (or significantly reduced). The builders have taken care not to protrude from the ceiling too which is good news, as it won't affect our studio build
